Be aware, however, that a large number of nations, including most of Europe, do not provide Norton’s location features (the US and UK are covered, but Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands, and many others are not.) If you think it could be an issue, check the list on the website.

For example, you cannot prohibit applications based on their age or genre. Apps cannot be restricted by time or schedule. Some applications cannot be operated in the background without use time being tallied. Most parental controls struggle with that as well, although you can type at least restrict applications in a specified list. You cannot block iOS apps at all.

There is a little UI annoyance in that you must click an icon for a particular day of the week in order to view its current schedule. It is simpler to compare schedules across the week when these are shown side by side in many apps. However, once you’re set-up, this won’t be a big deal, and generally, the screen time features function rather well.
